Two new stores

I no longer sell at Pien’s, but I was just accepted at two other stores; Bits 2 Kits and Divine Digital. You can read all about it at my other blog, which is now also in English. Because Blogger has more possibilities to customize my blog in the future, I will no longer update this one. I will be moving my freebies to Blogger as well (sooner or later )

Away with the old, start with the new

Those that still manage to come by my blog every now and then, must have noticed that it’s been lacking attention for a while. Because I now have my products in a Dutch store, I decided to start a new blog in Dutch. Since I already have so much trouble updating one blog, I don’t think I will update this blog very often. So for the dutchies out there, you can now find me at my new blog. If you want to check out my products, you can find the English section of the store with the digital kits here.

Wow! Second post in less than a week! Maybe I CAN develop a habit of blogging, LOL.

As I was browsing my list of blogs the other day, I came by Janeal’s blog and found this link. This is an actual ebay listing and the discription just cracked me up! This lady has six kids, but my two boys are all I need to totally relate to her! And whenever you feel a little overwhelmed by what your kids ‘throw’ at you (sometimes literally ), visit her blog to know you’re not the only one!

This weekend we had a family outing with DH’s family. We went to an amusement park called Duinrell. It’s really a fun place. They have things to do for all ages. Plenty for the thrillseekers, but also enough for the little ones, so the boys had a blast! They also have an indoor swimming pool, which is really more of a slide fest. Again, lots for the thrillseekers, but the boys loved it too!

Then yesterday the boys got bored and asked (whined ) what they could do. So I pulled out my box with scraps of paper and a few blank cards and let them make their own little book. I printed off a few pics of the day before and now they have their own little photo album that they can show around. I’m so proud! My three and five year-old are scrapping!

ME!!!
I can’t believe it’s been this long since I posted. I guess summer was kind of crazy!
I’ve been keeping myself busy with the digital album track workshop. (And yes Stella, you will be able to take part in it, I’ll post the details when I have them.) We’re also still trying to renovate our attick. We had the stairs put in a few weeks ago and we put windows in the roof during our vacation. We hope that the boys can be up there sleeping by the end of the year, but we still have a lot of work to do first.

Of course the boys had to ‘help’ with the renovation:

Fantacy tagged me to write seven unique things about me, so here it goes.

1. I live in the Netherlands, at about a 20 minute drive from Rotterdam (which isn’t unique between all those other people living here, but look at the current digi scrap community and it is )
2. I’m a Cystinuric. I have a kidney disfunction called cystinuria, which causes me to constantly develop kidney stones. In hopes of developing as little of them as possible, I have to pour down at least a gallon of water every day. Hence you get this image:

3. This Saturday I will be married to my hubby for 7,5 years! We married exactly 10 months after we met, when I just turned 20. Yes, we were quick, but we never regretted it!
4. I’m the mommy to Aydin (5) and Yared (3). Two bright, cheerful and especially ENERGETIC boys.
5. When I was 16, I spent a year living in Oklahoma, where I lived with a hostfamily and attended High School in ‘Hickville’ Morrison. (Which is why a little bit of southern dialect sometimes seeps through, lol)
6. It was during that year in the US that I became a christian.
7. The hostfamily I lived with is still like family to me. We visited them last year and the boys call her Mema and him Opa Ron.

Now, I think I’m supposed to tag a few other people to write 7 unique things about themselves. But I have no idea who visits my blog regularly and has a blog herself (besides Fantacy, lol). I’m going to work on that new freebie. Just never got to it this past week, but I’ll try to have it here today or tomorrow.

I messed up!

Man, I really messed up my downloads!
I put a password on the ‘Doodlicious’ kit to make sure that only the right people would be able to download that kit. But I didn’t know that in doing that, I put the password on every single one of my files. And I don’t know how to fix that without messing up the links. I would have to go and change every single link here on my blog after changing it in my 4shared account. Frankly, I don’t have the time to do this, so I decided to leave it like this until I can take down the link for the ‘Doodlicious’ kit. Unfortunately, that means that everyone who didn’t play in the Page-A-Day challenge and got the password, can’t download any of the other freebies until then. The kit can be downloaded until July 17th, so early on July 18th I’ll make sure that all my downloads are available again. Please bear with me until then if you want to download something! I’ll see if I can make it worth your while with a new freebie by then!

Look what I’ve been up to!

I have been playing in the Page-A-Day challenge at SBB pretty much since it has started in January. I didn’t get the required amount of LO’s every month, but I still linked every single layout I did so that it would count for the challenge. I know there’s been a whole lot of ladies who have been doing the same and also not always made the required amount of LO’s. So about a month ago, I cooked up this little idea to give away a kit to everyone that has been participating in PAD for these last six months. We’re halfway in this challenge, so I wanted to give everyone a little heads-up to keep going. I teamed up with Fantacy Bryant (the scrappin’ HillBilly) to make this wonderful kit:

Busy, busy, busy

Well, once again it has been TOO long!
I haven’t even had time to work on a little more for Butterfly Frenzy.
I’ve been keeping myself busy with a little paper mood I had last week (I didn’t even OPEN my laptop for several days! LOL). Then I finally heard a little more about what I have to do for the design team at Pien’s Atelier and of course did some things already. And then this weekend I realised that this is the last week of June and that I have another kit to finish that I’m working on with Fantacy! (If you play in Page-A-Day at SBB, then be on the lookout for a little treat next week!)

Still much to do, but I’ll try to better my life (AGAIN!) and blog again soon!

TOOT on me!

Yay! My CT hunt is already giving results!
Last Friday I got a mail from Chantal Taake that I didn’t make the CT, but that she would like for me to be her Guest CT for a month. So come October I will be playing with her goodies!
Of course this already made me very happy, but then on Saturday night I got a mail from BRENDA KEMPF! I actually made it to her Creative Team! And if I could let her know if I accepted… IF??? Of course! I accept, I accept, I accept! How could I not? She’s a fabulous designer and I’m honored that I get to be on her team. I already downloaded some of those beautiful kits, so you’ll soon be seeing my layouts here and around the communities.

Sorry if I’m going a little overboard on the capitals and exclamation marks, but I’m just so excited!

I have so much to do now. I really want to try to make my blog look a little better, got some LO’s to do, still trying to design a little, I REALLY want to get a freebie up here too, got stuff to do for the Dutch store (Pien) here and then of course there’s still that boring stuff of cleaning my house and doing laundry

CT Hunt

Today I’ve been on a bit of a CT hunt. I would love to be a part of one and be challenged in a different way. Usually the demands are a little easier than for participating in Page-A-Day, LOL!
I had been wondering about where people find out about these calls. I had seen a couple come by SBB, but not lately. (I found out that thread is gone now.) So I decided to step outside of my box and browse around some other communities. I found DST and that’s where there were tons of calls! I could just pick a few! There are so many great designers having calls, so I picked 5 for starters. Let’s just see what comes of it. Here they are:

Tomorrow the school vacation is over again and Aydin will be back in school. Aaah, that means life will be nicely organised again. That is for about seven weeks, because that’s when the summer vacation starts. Vacation time is always so chaotic around here. It’s nice that you don’t HAVE to get up early (although the boys usually do anyway…), but they always start getting in each others way and on my nerves! LOL
At least for now, peace is returning…
